Marketing Ideas For Real Estate Postcards

[ad_1]

When postcards are done correctly, these prints can be your perfect tools in promoting your real estate business. Postcard prints are hard to miss and can get your marketing message right at the hand of your target audience. But there are things that you need to remember if you want your postcard marketing efforts to really render fruits. Here are few marketing ideas for real estate postcards:

Highlight your strengths
You are an expert when it comes to real estate and your business is the best available in town.  Leverage this by highlighting that characteristic in your prints. Use vivid images of you while assisting a client or images of the houses that you have sold over the years. Your prints can also include success stories of your former clients.

Correctly target your audience
Before you even start designing your postcard prints, you should define the purpose of your marketing campaign and who your target audiences are. Are you going to send those prints to people with good income and have plans of getting bigger or better dwellings? You can send prints that will teach them how to upgrade and how you can help them get the right home upgrades and the kind of dwellings that their families deserve. For individuals or groups seeking investments in real estate, your postcard prints could include tips on how to acquire low-priced properties and turn them into high-end dwellings for rent. A highly-targeted mailing list is necessary to map out what type of campaign each demographic should have.

Promote your website
Marketing experts considered website promotion through postcard prints as one of the most inexpensive way to get high response rates from target audience. You can take advantage of this by including incentives that your reader can claim by visiting your website and signing up for mailing list. You can also include teaser information about success stories from your clients and useful tips from you; with the rest of the parts available on your website.

When you send your real estate postcards to the right audience and you have compelling contents, there is a good chance of getting great response. Of course, the way your prints look also matter so always print postcards that would stand out – from color, paper, and design. It is, thus, important to also look for quality printing services.

Language Barrier – a Problem to Outsourcing ?

[ad_1]

When a UK based or US based company ( and similar) attempts to form a partnership with an India based web development company or decides to outsource specific works – often one starts thinking whether the language difference will cause a problem. India as a country has 29 states and over 17 dialects – mostly similar to Hindi or Sanskrit . The workforce consists of locales for whom English is not the First Language.
If this was a outsourcing of call center jobs or transcription work , language would probably have a major role – as both requires clear understanding of the accents, practice of speaking colloquial terms fluently and the same.
So what else could cause a problem over language ?
Emails – written communication – the sales / marketing people who receive client feedback or RFQ’s ( Request for Quote ) – should be able to clearly understand written instructions and reply with clarity and also follow basic etiquettes. What might seem trivial while writing to a friend may just work wonders to the recipient , who could be used to a friendly tone , instead of the crisp point wise replies marked with deep red .
Phone Calls – While working with a outsourcing partner, providing a phone number for emergencies may seem to be a good idea . However if this phone number happens to be attended by a non English speaking person, it will serve nothing but a source of irritation. So at the cost of being pestered ( doesn’t happen in a good working relation), one can think of giving the mobile number of a representative who can speak with clarity and patience – even if the resolution is not attained on the call in itself.
Web Page Copy – While doing website design work or web development , it is not common to also do Copy-writing, but it can be also a work which is part of the project . Now a web page copy could be something that requires a native tongue , a personal touch – which is difficult to give – unless you are in close contact with the outsourcing supplier , or unless you are acquainted with the locality and its terminology. It is very necessary that you understand what you are writing Copy for , the targeted demographics and the ideology of the business . A keen look at the basic grammar and a supervision of any finalized copy warrants a better response and results . Does it cost more – Yes , it costs more than the typical copywriting you get at 0.05p – does it make sense – Yes , it makes sense .

When you choose your new outsourcing vendor , you better make sure your outsourced partner is aware and is ready to take care of these points and probably more – and Language will not be a TRUE BARRIER

Factors to Consider When Hiring a Web Design Company

[ad_1]

With today’s technology, more and more companies are utilizing the World Wide Web to promote their businesses. Prior to putting a website on the Internet for individuals to view, the company must first set up the website. This is where web design companies enter the picture. A web design company is hired to construct a website for an individual or company that is suitable to their tastes. There are a few factors to consider prior to settling on a specific web design company to construct your new website.

Examples of Prior Web Designs
One important factor to consider when choosing a web design company to develop a website is the type of web designs which the company has produced in the past. Many web design companies will make portfolios available for potential clients to view so that they may see the style of the web design company and determine if their finished product is what the client is looking to achieve in the way of a website. This is extremely helpful when trying to determine if the work product of the web design company is up to one’s standards. Therefore, always ask to see samples of a web design company’s prior work before signing them up to construct a website.

Estimated Completion Time
Another important factor to consider when selecting a web design company to design one’s website is what their estimated completion time may be. This is beneficial to know up front so the client can expect the finished work at a certain time. Since many individuals are using the Internet for conducting business, it is important that the client get their website up and running as soon as possible. This will also give the web design company notice that the client needs their completed product at a certain point in time and they will be less likely to push it to the side and work on other client’s projects.

Cost of Web Design Project
It is also crucial to know up front how much the completed web design project will cost the client. Since many businesses are on a tight budget these days, it is vital that one knows how much they will need to pay for their web design. Along with the total cost of the web design project, the client should also receive a breakdown of the individual costs of the project.

What Is Included with the Total Web Design Price?
One who retains a web design company to construct their website should also ask about what items are included in the total web design cost. Some companies will include follow-up consultation in the web design price or web design help in the future. It is important to inquire about these things in the beginning so as to know what type of items they can expect with the amount that they paid for the web design.

References
For those clients who wish to be on the safe side and know exactly who they are dealing with, requesting references is always an available option to the client. Many times the web design company will offer references that will vouch for their professional behavior and wonderful finished product. References are a good way to weed out the bad web designers from the good ones.

Volume of Past Experience
It may also be beneficial to inquire about the company’s amount of experience. Companies that have been in business for a good many years may just have a bit more experience than newcomers to the web design scene. Although this is just one of the many factors which should be looked at with regard to hiring a web design company, it does help to sway the decision maker one way or the other with regard to hiring or not hiring a specific company to prepare a website for them.

Customer Service
It is also important to consider the customer service skills of the web design company. One who is paying good money to have their website designed wants to make sure they are dealing with a company that will listen to what they want and make themselves readily available to their clients. If one is considering a particular web design company that has bad customer service skills, it might be more advisable to choose a company that is more client-oriented.

Ease of Navigation – An Important Element of Website Design

[ad_1]

A fine balance of all the elements of website design, such as content, images, presentation and navigation, add up to a high quality website. Website navigation, in particular, is an important factor that all web designers must bear in mind when designing a website. A well-designed website has an intuitive and use-friendly interface. Good navigation ensures that users are quickly and easily able to find the information they are looking for.

Here are few things that you should keep in mind when designing website navigation:

  • Visitors should be able to navigate their way around the website easily from each and every page. There should be access to the home page from any webpage within the website. You can use different web pages, and not just the homepage, as entry points to your site through links on other websites, search engines and social bookmarks.
  • Primary and secondary navigation should be designed properly. Primary navigation consists of the most important categories and links while secondary navigation consists of sub-categories and secondary links. Secondary navigation links should be placed below primary navigation links, and should be smaller in size. Alternatively, some space between the primary and secondary navigation will help visitors easily distinguish between the two. If you are using top navigation, you can also place secondary navigation to the page’s left.
  • People read content from left to right, hence navigation links on the left are common. A top navigation bar can also be used as it provides more space below for relevant content and information. The navigation scheme should be clear and stand out. Visitors have a tendency to ignore anything that remotely resembles advertisements, so ensure that the navigation bar uses colors different from what you use for online ads. If you intend to add graphics at the page header, place the navigation bar below it to make sure that it isn’t ignored.
  • Visitors should be able to find the information they require as quickly as possible. This means that the lesser the number of clicks needed to access the information, the better the user experience.
  • Proper internal linking is a way of helping visitors find related information easily and quickly. The links to other web pages within the site can be placed in the text or under the text. With internal linking, search engines can also find every page of the site and show them in search results.
  • During website design, you should also keep the anchor text of the navigation links short, instantly comprehensible and relevant. Visitors should be able to figure out where the link will lead them. Don’t clutter the page with twenty to thirty links. Keep a reasonable number of links on the page for convenient use.

Another important aspect of the website design process is testing. Have inexperienced users navigate through your site and see if they find the navigation intuitive. This ensures that users will be able to make their way around your site comfortably and quickly.

The Five Basic Elements Of Web Design

[ad_1]

The basic elements and principles involved in web design are true for all other types of design. These principles will show you the most effective way to put together the various design elements to come up with a good and effective site. A good web design company emphasizes the fact that web design is not simply about slapping all those HTML tags on the page, but it involves the use of web design principles to build a pleasing and useful web design. Your web design company will need you to make the most aesthetically attractive and effective web design, so make sure you keep these elements in mind:

Web design Balance is the equal distribution of the heavy and light elements on a singly page. Balance in your web design is concentrated in your page layout. You must achieve visual balance in your web design all throughout the page, not only in the initial view. You web design company might commonly suggest you to center the text and all the other elements on your page. It is also very common to set your page on an invisible grid system to create the balance that you need. There are three types of balance that can be achieved when designing a page.

1. Symmetrical. This is achieved by placing all the elements in an even fashion – a heavy element on the left is matched with another on the right. Be careful with symmetrical balances as you do not want your site to look flat or plain boring.

2. Asymmetrical. These are more challenging to build, but there are strategies to achieve this which can include the varying texture, color and image positioning and size to arrive at a pleasant looking page.

3. Discordant. Web sites that are off-balance suggest action or motion, so you can create a discordant design on purpose. This type of designs make viewers uncomfortable or uneasy, so they are best used for sites that are intended to make people think.

Web design contrast is more than just about colors and black or white, but also involves contrasting shapes, sizes and even textures. You can take full advantage of contrast by changing font size, weight and family to provide textual contrast and varying sizes of images and elements. However, be careful not to blast your readers or scare them off with contrasting colors which are way too loud. The links on your content should be contrasted well to draw most attention.

Web design emphasis involves the main points where the eye is drawn into in a design. One of the mistakes that your web design company may warn you not to make is to have everything in the design stand out. Keep in mind that if everything in the design has equal emphasis, the entire page will tend to appear too busy for comfort and may end up unappealing. What you should focus on instead is to create a visual hierarchy in the web design – to put emphasis only on the right elements. You can use semantic markup to provide emphasis even without the use of styles; change the font size of image size in order to emphasis or lessen emphasis on them; or you can use contrast in colors for added emphasis.

Web design rhythm, also known as repetition, brings the much needed internal consistency into your web site designs. Almost all elements in your design can be repeated in order to create pleasing rhythm into your design. For instance, you can repeat your headline a few times for more emphasis, repeat the same image across the page, create a background that is tiled and patterned with repetitive elements, or repeat a particular style to provide site design consistency. It is also a good idea to repeat the navigation elements in your site design across the pages of your web site.

Web design unity, also regarded as a site’s proximity, is the what keeps all the similar elements in the site alike and those diverse further apart, and pulls everything together into one integrated whole. Unity when it comes to web site design is mainly achieved through the proper placement in your layout. You can implement this in many ways. You can, for example, adjust the layout of your elements to put them close or far away from each other. In the body of your page, you can change the spacing around the text in your page contents. You can further achieve unity by playing around the box properties and change the margins and paddings.

A good web design company keeps in mind all the basic design elements with each and every page they design and collaborate with. This way, you and your web design company will come up with web sites that are pleasant looking, effective and attractive. As the website designer, it is important that you keep these elements in mind and apply them appropriately to your web page design.

Online Marketing Strategies: What is Acquisition Marketing?

[ad_1]

Online marketing can no longer be considered as an afterthought when developing a marketing strategy. In 2008, Ofcom reported that online marketing represented a fifth of total UK revenues from advertising – and we believe it’s still got a long way to go.

There are good reasons for its unprecedented growth. One of the main reasons online marketing has always been at an advantage to other forms of marketing is because of its ability to drive acquisition, in such a transparent and accountable way.

More often than not, it is ‘acquisition marketing’ that clients are looking for – marketing with the end goal of acquiring new business. A well thought out acquisition marketing shouldn’t even stop there, but should really continue into the realms of adding value to the acquired customers to ensure repeat business where applicable, and/or referrals.

How to achieve acquisition through online marketing

In order to achieve effective acquisition marketing, there needs to be a clear and cohesive pathway for the customer to follow, right from the first click through to the point of conversion. This starts with a clear understanding of what you want the customer to do. If this isn’t clear in your mind, then it’s going to be very hard for the customer to figure out.

A marketing campaign which successfully brings thousands of people through to your site, all of whom are not particularly interested in what you have to offer and so leave immediately once they get there, cannot be called acquisition marketing. Traffic is simply a means to an end, and as such – can become a time consuming red herring.

A campaign which brings in thousands of people who are interested in your products or services, only for them to be bamboozled with such labyrinthine navigation or off-putting messages or design that they give up and go elsewhere before converting, is also not acquisition marketing.
A successful acquisition campaign must keep the visitor engaged at every single point along their journey towards becoming one of your valued customers.

This can only result from a genuinely integrated approach to online marketing, working on all areas of a campaign simultaneously, with the sole aim of leading visitors through seamlessly to the point of purchase or conversion. Implementing funnel / drop-off tracking is also key in this process, as often there is more to learn from the ‘non-converters’ than the ‘converters’.

Short AND long-term benefits

Despite our strong belief in acquisition marketing, there is clearly still a place for brand building exercises which will not only change or enforce your consumers’ perceptions of you over time, but also deliver better recall, referral and brand equity.

But with acquisition marketing, we look for measurable ways to increase levels of sales and conversions in a much shorter space of time. Part of the trick here is to not only make the process easy for customers, but also to spend time understanding their mindset, needs and concerns. By understanding these, we can begin to alleviate them – by offering them extra information, assurance or testimonials along the conversion funnel. Ideally, we want to dispel any concerns they have before they have even manifested.

Working with this mindset, we are able to take marketing forms such as pay-per-click advertising, and make them work even more efficiently than they are already.

Keeping your customers happy

At atom42, we get most of our business through referrals. When people have had a good experience with a customer or product, they simply can’t spread the word fast enough. Looking after your customers in the same way is one reason why acquisition marketing is also of long-term. Happy customers do two things: return and refer.

Increasingly, as natural SEO has evolved from being focused on “onsite” optimisation techniques – and moved into using more and more “offsite” factors when determining a site’s importance – we see an increasing number of long-term benefits from our SEO work as well – including link building, content optimisation and strategic partnerships – all of which can yield results for many years to come.

The significance of measurability

The real key to acquisition marketing is measurability, and this is something uniquely suited to online marketing.

For those in the business of online marketing, there are now an almost infinite number of tools at our disposal for diagnosing precisely what kind of results our efforts are generating with our online marketing techniques.

This means that we can prove without doubt that we are gaining the right kinds of results for our clients, with an extraordinary amount of precision. It’s no wonder that, according to the European Online Advertising Through 2013 report, online ad spend is predicted to carry on growing throughout the recession.

Web Design for Job Seekers

[ad_1]

The Internet has changed our lives and how ! Today we can do everything by internet – shopping, surfing, getting information, studying, communicating and travelling are just a few examples. People can even look out for jobs on the internet. There are many websites which are known as job portals which brings the job seeker and an employer together.

On a job portal, the employer posts the vacancy in their company and the job seeker surf through this job listings and apply for the job directly from the job portal. The job portal makes money by charging the employers to post their job listings, however that is not the topic over here. The job seekers, instead of going through countless newspaper vacancy columns can search for their dream jobs on the job portal and apply for it at the same instant.

Being the HR Head of a multi national company since last 8 years, I have noticed a glaring fact the resumes or CV’s of most job seekers are not attractive enough to hold my attention. Almost, with exception, all the CV’s are the same, they all follow at the most 2 or 3 different formats. And yes, be truthful — do not lie a bit about anything because that might land you in a soup and with no so credible references.

2. Your CV
Allow potential employers to download your CV. Upload your CV on your website and provide a suitable link to it, so that potential employers can download your CV in PDF format.

Make a very good contact page, which gives all your contact details and also mention the place where you are currently working. Also remember to inform potential employers if they can contact you at your current job. You can also opt to provide timings which are convenient to call you. It is a good idea to inform the potential employers if they can contact your current employer or not.

4. Achievements
List out all the achievements that you have made at your current job and all the previous jobs. Ofcourse, it will be a good idea if you can provide the details of all the achievements.

Yes, they are very important. Give some solid references and allow potential employers to contact them through email.

6. Articles
Publish a few articles on your personal website for job seekrs on your subject matter and your job profile, and allow them to be downloaded through PDF files. The potential employers can see your thoughts and guage your maturity for your dream job in question. What is Content writing?

[ad_1]

This is the first question people ask when they hear the word content writing. Simply put, content writing is writing for websites. The content on websites is as important as its design. It is the content which holds the attention of users on the website. If the content is dull, boring or not up to expectations, then it would adversely affect the business of that website.

Website content writing is in a booming phase these days and offers very lucrative opportunities for growth worldwide. There are a lot of companies offering content writing services. But it is not as easy as it sounds. Writing for websites involves a lot of time and is a brain consuming activity. Although the name suggests only writing, yet content writing consists of research as well. It is said that it is 10% writing and 90% research.

While writing, it is necessary to keep in mind for whom is the content written and what is its motive. This would make it easier to comprehend the style for website content writing and the topics which should be included or excluded. The following three question need to be answered before starting to write:

  • Who is the target reader of the website?

  • Why would they read it?

  • What can the content generate?

If these three questions are clearly answered by the content writer, then half the battle is won. He can then mold his content in such a way that the requirements of the website are completely fulfilled.

A content writer should always remember that this style of writing is very different that journalism writing or blog writing. It has its own set of guidelines, which need to be followed every time.

A website content writer should write precisely and direct to the point. The language used should be simple yet effective so that everyone visiting the website understands the message.

Everything on the website should reflect the basic message that needs to be conveyed. If the website is travel related, everything on that website should compel its readers to purchase the offered travel packages. Not just travel writing, this should be followed for every website.

The style of writing on a website should be conversant in nature. This would hold the interest of readers and contribute towards the success of that website.

These were some of the basics from the world of content writing. But apart from these basics, the most important characteristic which a content writer should posses is passion for writing. If a writer is passionate about what he is writing, then he would be able to convey his feelings easily to the readers.

What Oil Change Franchise Owners and Managers Need to Know About Designing a Fast Lube Shop

[ad_1]

Quick, convenient and low cost. This is what consumers want wherever they go. Have you noticed how many fast lube shops are available everywhere one goes? Some have oil changes with a carwash, a coffee house or even a diner. Location is key to any business, especially an oil change franchise.

Thinking about opening an oil change franchise? Start searching online or speak with a realtor. Location is the number one priority for a fast lube business. A shop should have easy access both in and out, be noticeable with easy to see services and prices.

Another consideration is urban development. Will the oil change franchise receive adequate business? Will traffic be a problem? Is there a street hindrance such as a median or no U-turn nearby which prevents future customers from entering your business or exiting into traffic patterns?

Once a site is established, the shop design is next. There are two ways to design, depending on the city’s building codes and land development: basement or use mechanical lifts to access cars for servicing. Some owners say a full basement is better because lifts slow services, and customers may choose another fast lube instead.

If a basement is used, the designer must decide how many bays the shop will include. Shop owners must research the building size before offering ideas to the building designer. More efficient oil change franchises have multiple bays to service more than one car at a time, offering the ability to service more customers and offer more services. Full basements with catwalks also serve as storage for supplies, bulk oil, cleaning supplies and a break room.

However, to minimize safety hazards, precautions must be installed. Since a basement has open pits, install easy-slide pit covers so customers and employees do not accidentally fall through. The sliding covers are four feet long and slide over each other down to the pit so mechanics need only open the area they are working on. When the automotive service is completed, the covers slide back into place, closing the pit.

Floor type is another safety issue, and should be included in the planning of any oil change franchise. A floor should have rough resistance and have an abrasiveness texture to it. Keeping an organized and clean shop is also just as important. Small spills should be mopped immediately, while a thorough cleaning of the shop should be done every day after business hours.

Convenience and efficiency work hand in hand for the most successful oil change franchises. The flow of traffic in and out of the shop should be an owner’s next consideration. The design of the shop should be convenient for the customer as well as the city traffic. The most efficient and convenient set up is the “one way in, one way out” design. Cars pull into the entrance of the bay and drive out the other side.

After the structure of the oil change franchise is finalized, the next consideration is organization of supplies. Air and oil filters, oil bins and transmission fluids, rags and cleaning supplies can all be stored so it maximizes time on task. Utilizing a basement for all supplies is most efficient. Shelving installed near the mechanics work area will maximize time spent gathering oil and supplies to service the vehicles. Label all shelves with the specific air and oil filter types. This will not only save time for mechanics, but also for restocking items and taking inventory.

Store bulk oil in overhead tanks to pump oil out using gravity; it helps to use all the oil in the tank. Buried tanks tend to waste more oil and need to be filled more often. Tanks that are above ground should have a secondary containment area around it as well.

Although there are many ways to design oil change franchises, efficiency and convenience should be at the top of the list.
